The theme of the 144th Anniversary Encampment on the grounds of the Union Mills Homestead on Saturday, July 14th and Sunday, July 15th  will center on the aftermath of the Great Battle.  Scenarios planned will include:

• a Medical encampment where the wounded will be processed and treated
• a Federal troop encampment
• a Prisoner Stockade for captured Rebels
• Comfort Stations operated by Sanitary Commissions and Ladies Aide Societies

Also planned is a separate Confederate encampment from which skirmishers and scavengers will periodically attack the Main Camps. 

The grounds and Gift Shop will open at 10 a.m. Guided tours of the historic Shriver Homestead and Grist Mill will begin at noon. 

A variety of foods will be provided by Kountry Kafe and Katering of Westminster, MD. 

The Homestead is located on Rt. 97, 7 miles north of Westminster, MD and 14 miles south of Gettysburg, PA.  (click for map)
